pilgrim Rest is a Christ-centered ministry endeavoring, through the Holy Spirit, to be like a city that sits upon a hill; a beacon of hope for all.

(Habakkuk 2:2)

our mission is to bring souls to Jesus Christ by addressing the spiritual and natural needs of men, women and children through thought-provoking, spirit-filled and inspiring ministries that immediately impact the life of the whole person. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will achieve this mission through a faithful, humble, servant-oriented, trained leadership staff sensitive to the concerns of the congregation and the community for the edifying of the Body of Christ.

This is a year for us to remain faithful!!! Over the past several years there has been a concerted effort by the enemy to discourage, dishearten and disenchant the saints. Satan has used every weapon at his disposal to cause even seasoned saints to doubt and question if the hope they've placed in God will ever manifest. Remember in ALL things God is at work (Rom 8:28).  I've come to announce that this is the year of the faithful!!!

Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going.  He always keeps His Word (Heb.10:23).  Here in Hebrews we see a reminder to saints who have become downcast and are questioning their ability to receive God’s promises because of their own worthiness.  Let’s be clear - none of us in our own are worthy, BUT God’s promise in Jesus qualifies us to sit at the table and receive from Him.  He who PROMISED IS FAITHFUL (Hebrews 10).  As we strive this year to be W.E.L.L. spiritually, financially, physically and emotionally I believe God is going to demonstrate that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Heb 11:6).  This year we must seek the Lord diligently day and night, good times and bad, ups and downs in sorrows and joys. God IS vindicating our hope but we must send a clear message that we are sold out no matter what! (Daniel 3:17-18).

This year I am calling us back to reaffirm and renew our convictions and confidence in Christ and His church (Revelation 2:4). We must renew our commitment to the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, study of the Word, communion, tithing and church attendance. These foundational disciplines create an environment for the mighty hand of God to move. In James chapter 4, God declares if we draw close to Him, He will draw close to us. I am prayerful that this will be the year we seek God as never before.

As wellness breaks out in our personal lives and in the life of the church we will send a message to the world that God can be trusted.   Make this your mantra: We are a W.E.L.L. church!  I am a Walking Example of a Liberated Life!

On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But WHOLLY lean on Jesus name
-Edward Mote

Be ye steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain.  (I Corinthians 15:58)
